Afghanistan Hit by 2nd Earthquake In a Day - Pakistan news Beat

Another earthquake struck western Afghanistan on Wednesday morning, resulting in the destruction of hundreds of homes. This seismic event, with a magnitude of 6.3, occurred in the rural areas of Herat province, located approximately 28 kilometers (17 miles) away from the provincial capital, Herat. This unfortunate incident follows closely on the heels of a previous earthquake that claimed the lives of over 2,445 people just days ago.

At least 80 individuals were injured in the 6.3 magnitude earthquake in the rural parts of Herat province, located about 28 kilometers outside the region's capital, Herat. Initial reports suggest no casualties, as people in Chahak had sought shelter in tents this week, fearing further tremors after Saturday's earthquake rocked Herat.

Taliban officials reported more than 2,445 fatalities in the earlier quakes and subsequently claimed thousands had been killed and injured, though they provided no further breakdown.
